Key Takeaways
Understanding the Importance of Prompt Engineering
Learn how to effectively communicate with AI, like ChatGPT, to enhance productivity. Mastering prompt engineering is key to getting precise and useful outputs.
Applying AI in Business
Struggling to figure out how you could be using ChatGPT? The best way to find out is: Firstly, take a step back and start thinking about tasks you carry out day to day, weekly or even monthly. Secondly, which of these tasks require quite a bit of manual effort and thinking? The best use cases for ChatGPT are those that are repetitive and require a lot of input/ creativity. Dont get stuck on revolutionising ways of working, instead start by focusing on small wins.
Utilizing the CRAFT Methodology
Context, Role, Action, Format, and Target Audience (CRAFT) are the building blocks for creating effective prompts! This fool proof method ensures that your instructions to the AI are clear, structured, and targeted, leading to much better results.
Take your results one step further
Large text summaries do not need to be your only output with ChatGPT. The LLM is capable of much more! For example, you have analysed a report and generated a summary, you can ask ChatGPT to turn this information into content you can use to create slides
and
on top of this, ask ChatGPT to visualise any of the data within the report.
Example use cases discussed
Tidying up rough meeting notes, extracting actions, creating audience-specific summaries. Co-pilot for data analysis (e.g. help writing Excel formulas) or more detailed analysis with the ability to upload files for ChatGPT Plus users.
Beware of risks
Avoid Hallucinations by prompting effectively, taking actions step by step, cross checking the information and correcting ChatGPT if wrong. For data privacy concerns, avoid using any sensitive information. If you are going to use customer related data, be sure to anonymise data containing personal information. You can manage chats that you are unsure of by deleting your chat history. However, keep an eye out on the OpenAI forum as there could be changes to help protect user’s Data Privacy in 2024!
