I’m at a point in my role where a few themes are converging, which made these workshops particularly relevant. I’ve spent most of my career in fast-scaling environments, building operational foundations as organisations grow. That’s a context I expect to return to, so I’m keen to continue sharpening how I think about scaling systems, teams, and decision-making under pressure. At the same time, the pace of change driven by AI is hard to ignore. I see it as a core responsibility for Ops leaders—not just to introduce tools, but to shape how AI is adopted in a way that’s practical, safe, and actually embedded into day-to-day workflows. I’m actively thinking about how to move faster here without creating fragmentation or risk. Finally, I’m operating as a senior operational counterpart to a very driven, visionary founder. That brings a lot of opportunity, but also real challenges in terms of influence, alignment, and being effectively heard—particularly on topics like prioritisation, structure, and execution. There’s also a strong shared interest in AI, which feels like an area where we could collaborate more effectively with the right frameworks in place. Overall, I’m looking for structured thinking, practical tools, and peer perspectives to help navigate this combination of scale, emerging technology, and leadership dynamics more effectively.
