I’m known as "JB" and I build high-growth businesses using cutting-edge technology in media, telco, commerce and enterprise saas sectors. Currently I am focused building Gigantec.com.

Previously, I worked as a Founding Managing Partner and International COO for SoftBank. As part of this role, I was responsible for setting up and running the global mid and back-office operations of the $100B SoftBank Vision Fund. I also sat on a number of SoftBank's regulated investment advisory Boards, and portfolio company Boards, including Yahoo! Japan (a c$23B public company with 9,000 employees).

I worked for nearly a decade at Google as Global Business Strategy Director, and it's first Chief-of-Staff. I was based in Silicon Valley through-out that time. Prior to that, I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing people across the global TMT and FMCG retail sectors.

I'm a strategic leader, pragmatic operator, troubleshooter and Board Director. While I am passionate about all aspects of my job, I think my favorite part is helping an organization's leadership work out where they want to go and how to get there.

When I am not helping businesses get clearer (and scarier) visions, or to build the nuts-and-bolts operations to deliver them, you can find me ski-mountaineering, losing golf balls in pretty lakes, sketching the world around me in oil pastels, counting cards (legally), or helping my daughters build robots.

I have an BA and MEng from Cambridge University in Engineering & Management.
